Wolf Trap Announces Second Round of 2014 Summer Concerts

Wolf Trap National Park for the Performing Arts revealed 22 more artists that will be coming to the Filene Center as part of its 2014 summer season.

Among these  performers are Band of Horses, Nickel Creek, Sarah Brightman, Counting Crows and Rodrigo y Gabriela, Robyn + Röyksopp as well as Wolf Trap debuts by The Band Perry, Sara Bareilles, The Fray and comedian Jim Gaffigan.

"Highlights of the season include a performance by the National Symphony Orchestra with Ben Folds, the former front man and pianist of alternative rock group Ben Folds Five; the Wolf Trap debut of Jennifer Nettles, lead singer of the country group Sugarland; and the long-awaited return of classical crossover soprano Sarah Brightman, known for originating the role of Christine Daaé in Andrew Lloyd Webers’s The Phantom of the Opera," Wolf Trap spokesperson Camille Cintrón said in a press release.

Tickets for the events listed below go on sale May 3 at 10 a.m. to the general public and are available to members now. Wolf Trap has previously announced 48 additional shows, which are currently on sale.
