After seven years as a copywriter and commercial director, Jason pursued teaching. As a result, he found that he could use his experience, creativity and an implicit understanding of the media to help students develop their own capabilities utilizing modern tools. Moreover, he quickly learned that he could make a difference in their young lives. Currently, as a language arts and journalism teacher at Osbourn Park High School in Manassas, Virginia, Jason teaches literature, writing skills, journalism and film studies. Through the development of creative lessons, he strives to teach students how to communicate, understand and appreciate the finesse of language, to interpret new concepts in literature and to write with insight, self-reflection, and emotion.
