The Fauquier County Sheriff's Office is currently investigating a stabbing, which occurred late Sunday night, in the 8600 block of Burwell Road between Dumfries Road and Catlett.
According to a department spokesperson, a suspect fled the scene on foot.
They describe the individual as a white male, 6 feet one inch, 180 lbs with black hair, wearing a black jacket, camouflage pants and a beanie cap, The individual may be shoeless.
"There is a high visibility law enforcement presence in the area to include K-9 search teams, please use caution," they warn. "If you observe the described suspect do not approach call 911 IMMEDIATELY and report your location."Searching for Stabbing Suspect
