While responding to a report of an assault at Youth of Tomorrow in Bristow on April 13, police charged a 17-year-old female resident with obstruction of justice for interfering with the arrest of another resident.
According to the police report, the initial assault involved a male school staff member and a 15-year-old female resident.
"During the assault the staff member attempted to restrain the resident, at which point, a second resident, a 17-year-old female, interfered and was able to get the other resident free," police said.
When police arrived, the 17-year-old once again interfered with the restraining of the 15-year-old, knocking the officers and the girl to the ground.
Both juveniles were eventually arrested and transferred to a juvenile detention facility.
Police charged the 15-year-old with assault and battery on a law enforcement official and assault and battery on a school official. The 17-year-old was charged with assault and battery on a school official and obstruction of justice.
