"In the last 6 weeks, the lame-duck Prince William Board of County Supervisors Outrageously Approved More Industrial Data Center Development Than Any Other Location in the World the Prince William  Digital Gateway & Devlin Tech Park"

"Unbelievably, the Supervisors were determined to ruin our communities, National and State Parks, middle-class financial stability, and property values. We won't let them!"

"You can help defeat these decisions in court!"- HOA Roundtable

It comes down to defending the basic issues we all want for our community: our quality of life, safeguarding the health of our families and protecting the property values of what is the biggest investment for most of us, our homes.

The Prince William Board of County Supervisors (BOCS) ignored the pleas of the citizens they represent and just turned the keys of the County over to multi-national data center companies who are committed to turning our residential communities into an industrial center of decay - the quality of life destroyed, the health of our families threatened, and the value of our homes plummeting.

Just over a year ago, the Oak Valley HOA and 10 individual plaintiffs sued the BOCS over their approval of the Comprehensive Plan Amendment (CPA) that paved the way for PWDG re-zoning. That challenge is currently winding its way through the courts and is only the first salvo in a battle to preserve the quiet enjoyment of our community that we call home.

The unexplainable attack on our homes and families with the BOCS vote to approve the PWDG land grab is the second front in that legal battle that will directly challenge to the recent re-zoning vote. In the rush to ram this approval through, the BOCS made a number of substantive and procedural errors and completely ignored state statutes and county land use ordinances in the PWDG re-zoning process. Our legal team leading this effort will file complaints against the BOCS and ask the court to review all of those issues—both substantive and procedural--as part of our challenge to Digital Gateway re-zoning vote.

This challenge is not for the faint of heart. Litigation is never a sure thing. It can be slow. It can be time-consuming. And it will be expensive. But we firmly believe in our position as we undertake this next phase of the fight to protect ourselves.

Oak Valley is just 254 families who are ready to stand up to the bullies who corrupted the rezoning process, and we desperately need your help -- from any and all who are able to contribute financially to this critically important legal effort. We are carefully managing attorney fees (supervised by a committee of volunteer attorneys and supported by great community volunteers who do legal research), especially compared to the international law firms that the data center developers have retained to argue on their behalf. But we have the advantage of being right on the issues and we need to make our best case in the courts.
