Posted

policedoor700pxLocal residents, reading about the disappearance of Bristow teen Christopher James Owen on Facebook, have asked Bristow Beat about the possibility of forming a search party.

Prince William Public Information Officer Nathaniel Probus said police are not requesting a search party at this time.

"It's being investigated by our detective so at the time we are not requesting additional help," Probus said.

Detectives are currently gathering information on Owen's whereabouts.

"We’re working with the family right now to identify places that he might have gone," Probus said.

Probus said he will make it known to detectives that the community is willing to help. He will also update us if a search party is recommended.

Probus said people who have any questions, can call the police nonemergency number.
