Police Respond to Gun Fight at Gainesville Nightclub

Gainesville, Va.- Prince William Police Officers responded to the Sapphire Lounge, situated at 14674 Lee Highway in Gainesville, following a report of shots fired, July 1 at 2 a.m. 

Upon investigation, it was determined that an exchange of gunfire had taken place between two groups in the parking lot of the aforementioned establishment at the Gainesville Square shopping center. The involved parties had dispersed prior to the arrival of law enforcement.

During a thorough search of the area, officers discovered shell casings and a parked vehicle that had been struck by gunfire. Fortunately, no injuries or additional property damage were reported.
