Residents of Bristow's Kingsbrooke took to social media to share their concerns about helicopters and drones circling overhead and several police cars driving through their neighborhood last night around 10 p.m.

Today, Prince William Police told Bristow Beat the incident was a precautionary response to a domestic incident officers responded to at a residence on Moat Crossing in Bristow.

"Activity was precautionary only," said PIO Lt. Jonathan Perok. "It was resolved without incident. [There is] no greater concern or threat to the surrounding community."

According to Perok, officers were investigating felony charges, "and there were indications a firearm was involved."

"One of the parties had left the area, which prompted air support, but they were located," Perok said. "At no time was there a public safety concern, but we were attempting to locate one of the family members involved."

Perok said it is possible drones were also sent to assist police.
