Gainesville Man Arrested for Strangling a at Woman at Bristow Center

The 19-year-old was further charged with robbery and assault

Prince William Police Officers responded to the 10400 block of Bristow Center Drive in Bristow, Jan. 30 at 12:15 a.m., to investigate an assault.

The investigation revealed the accused, Christopher Nitis, engaged in a verbal altercation with an acquaintance of his, an 18-year-old woman, which escalated. 

While still at Bristow Center, the accused reportedly struck the victim multiple times before taking her phone and grabbing her neck.

During the encounter, the two drove to an area in Manassas where the accused reportedly struck the victim again before dropping her off at a local business from where police were contacted.

While investigating the incident, officers located the accused in the Bristow area where he was detained without incident.

The victim reported minor injuries. Following the investigation, police arrested Christopher Demetri Nitis, 19,  of 8721 Lords View Loop in Gainesville. Nitis was charged with strangulation, robbery, and assault. His court date is pending. He is being held without bond.
