Community Supports Patriot Student who died at Manassas First Friday

Family and friends rally for Ashley Intihar

The community is showing its support for Ashley Intihar, the 16-year-old victim of the  First Friday shooting in Old Town Manassas on Sept. 4, who died on the scene as a result of her injuries. 
 
Manassas City Police determined she was an innocent victim who was caught in the crossfire between two men. 
 
Ashley was the only child of John and Janeth Intihar. She attended Patriot High School and was a member of All Saints Catholic Church in Manassas. 
 
Organized by Sofia Guerra, a*spotfund for Ashley's memorial, Remembering Ashley Intihar has exceeded its $25,000 goal, raising $32,704 as of Sept. 9 at 10:30 a.m.
 
"Ashley enjoyed spending time with her friends, chief among them her mom, whom she loved dearly," Guerra wrote. "Ashley was a dedicated student and obedient and grateful daughter. She planned to eventually pursue a career in forensic science as a crime scene investigator. Please keep Ashley and the Intihar family in your thoughts and prayers."
 
Many prayers and well wishes came from Ashley's community at All Saints, Patriot and friends of the family.
