Police Arrest 2 Suspects for Burglarizing Home Depot

MANASSAS, Va. -  Prince William County Officers responded to an alarm activation at the Home Depot, located at 7486 Stream Walk Lane in Manassas (20109), July 23 at 3:54 p.m.

Upon investigation, two individuals, later identified as Josue Jimenez Perez, 33, of no fixed address, and Josue Neftali Rivas Mercado, 29, also of no fixed address, were spotted at the rear of the business, carrying merchandise they had taken from the store. Promptly, the suspects were detained without incident.

In a comprehensive search of the premises, no other suspects were found, and all stolen property was recovered. Additionally, one of the suspects was found in possession of fictitious identification.

Following the investigation, both accused were arrested. Josue Jimenez Perez was charged with burglary, possession of burglarious tools, and petit larceny. Meanwhile, Josue Neftali Rivas Mercado faces charges including one count of burglary, one count of possession of stolen property, two counts of possession of fictitious identity, and one count of public intoxication.

As of now, their court date is pending, and both suspects are being held without bond.
