Manassas, VA – Before a gathering of business and community leaders at its Annual Meeting on June 4, the Prince William Chamber of Commerce announced the appointment of Kristi Black of Manassas as President and Chief Executive Officer.
Black, who has served as Interim CEO since February, was selected by the Board of Directors to lead the Chamber as it advances its mission of supporting local businesses, fostering economic growth, and strengthening the regional business community.
Prior to joining the Chamber in January as the Director of Government Affairs, she served as the District Director for Governor Spanberger during her tenure in the U.S. House of Representatives.
The Chamber also welcomed Steve Danziger, who will assume the role of Chair of the Board of Directors effective July 1, leading the organization's volunteer board and helping guide its strategic priorities. Danziger currently serves as the Director of Quality for BAE Systems Space Systems as well as the Site Executive in Manassas.
“The Board of Directors has tremendous confidence in Kristi’s vision, leadership, and commitment to strengthening and cementing the Chamber’s role as the region’s leading voice for business, economic development, and community advancement,” said Ross Snare, current Chamber Board Chair. “Her ability to build strong partnerships, navigate complex challenges, and unite leaders across sectors makes her exceptionally well-positioned to lead the Prince William Chamber of Commerce into its next chapter. We are excited for the future of the organization under her leadership.”
"It has been an honor to serve as Interim CEO, and I am grateful for the confidence the Board has placed in me," said Kristi Black. "Our Chamber plays a vital role in advocating for businesses, fostering economic opportunity, and building partnerships that strengthen our community. I look forward to working alongside Steve Danziger, Chamber members, and community partners to continue advancing that mission."
"I've seen firsthand the leadership and dedication Kristi Black brought while serving as Interim CEO” said Carlos Castro, Board Member and owner of Todos Supermarket. “During a time of transition, she provided stability, strengthened relationships, and kept the Chamber focused on serving its members and advancing our business community. We are fortunate to have someone with such a deep commitment to our members and a genuine passion for our region's success, and I look forward to seeing the Chamber continue to grow under her leadership."
Neabsco District Supervisor and President of the Virginia Association of Counties Victor Angry expressed excitement over Black’s appointment, stating, “I am delighted to welcome Kristi Black as the next President and CEO of the Prince William Chamber. The Chamber plays a vital role in supporting our local businesses, driving economic growth, and strengthening our communities. Kristi brings the leadership, vision, and collaborative spirit needed to build on the Chamber’s success and help our business community thrive. I consider Kristi a personal friend and look forward to working together to advance opportunities for our residents, employers, and entrepreneurs throughout our region.”
