Police Arrest Bristow Teen for Shooting at Bar Louie, Resulting in Injury

The 17-year-old was charged with malicious wounding

Aggravated Malicious Wounding – Prince William County Police Officers responded to Bar Louie located at 14081 Promenade Commons St. in Gainesville, Aug. 30 at 1:20 a.m.,  to investigate a shooting.

The investigation revealed that the victim, a 26-year-old man, was involved in a verbal altercation with a 17-year-old male inside the restaurant.

The altercation escalated. The 17-year-old fired shots before the parties dispersed.

The victim sustained a gunshot wound to the lower body and was treated at an area hospital, where the injury was determined to be non-life-threatening.

While police were investigating the incident, the suspect arrived at a separate hospital also with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to the lower body. Police believe that he inadvertently shot himself, following the earlier altercation.

Following the investigation, on Aug. 30, police arrested the accused, identified as a 17-year-old Bristow male. 

The accused was charged with aggravated malicious wounding, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, brandishing, reckless handling resulting in injury, shooting in an occupied building, possession of a concealed weapon, and possession of a handgun by a juvenile

His court date is pending. He is being held in a Prince William Juvenile Detention Center.
