Vehicle Strikes 3-Year-Old and Father on Crescent Park Drive in Gainesville

The child and the father sustained non-life-threatening injuries

Prince William County Officers responded to the 7800 block of Crescent Park Drive in Gainesville to investigate a crash involving pedestrians, April 16 at 7:44 p.m.

"The investigation revealed two pedestrians, an adult male and his 3-year-old son, were crossing Crescent Park Drive from south to north when the driver of a 2016 Toyota Camry drove into the Crescent Park Drive roundabout striking the pedestrians," said Prince William PIO Renee Carr.

The boy was treated at an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The adult male reported minor injuries.

The driver of the Camry, a 21-year-old man, was cited.

Crescent Park Drive extends from Route 15 into residential neighborhoods.  Pedestrian accidents have occurred frequently along roads that lead into neighborhoods near the  Route 15 and Route 29 intersection.
