Brandishing of a BB Gun on School Bus – On May 1 at 8:17 a.m., Prince William County officers responded to Forest Park High School, at 15721 Forest Park Dr. in Woodbridge, to investigate a brandishing that reportedly occurred on a school bus.

The investigation revealed a male juvenile, later identified as the accused, got onto a bus en route to Forest Park High School. On the bus, he reportedly lifted his shirt, revealing what appeared to be a weapon in his waistband.

Upon arriving at the school, the accused and a group of students exited the bus and walked towards a nearby wooded area off the school grounds.

Student bus riders immediately told school personnel they observed the boy and the weapon. The school then contacted the Prince William Police.

School officials adjusted their operation status as a precautionary measure, while officers investigated the situation.

Officers ultimately located the boy. Due to his age, police have only identified him as a 15-year-old male who attends another Prince William County School.

The weapon was determined to be a BB gun. It never entered the school building. The investigation continues.
