Audrey Baldwin: Best Teacher Honorable Mention

Bristow Beat & Bill DePugh's 2022 Teacher of the Year Contest

Audrey Baldwin received an honorable mention in Bristow Beat & Bill DePugh's Teacher of the Year Contest 2022.

Audrey Baldwin believes that her role in serving children extends beyond the classroom. She teaches ELL at Loch Lomond Elementary School where she continuously works to ensure none of her students' basic needs go unmet.

When Baldwin worked in Manassas Park Public Schools, she founded the Nourishing Ninjas program to feed its elementary students. At Loch Lomond, she organizes similar initiatives. Baldwin collaborates with community partners and spends much of her free time picking up and distributing donations for Loch Lomond and Manassas Park students, and premies in the NICU at Prince William Hospital.

“Audrey gives everything she can to the children at Loch Lomond. She writes proposals for grants, sets up snack wish lists for others to donate to help feed the kids, asks for coats for the children in the winter from her neighbors and friends and collects sensory items for her autism classes. I don’t know how she does it all but she does. She is like a secret superhero. She is constantly giving and giving. We need more people like her in the world. She is the most selfless person I know."
